IdentifiersThe journal was found in 1996 under the name "Fiziceskoe Vospitanie Studentov Tvorcheskikh Special'nostej=Physical Education of the Student of Creative Specialties" [ISSN 1993-4335 (print), ISSN 1993-4343 (on line)].
In July 2009 the title of journal was changed to "Physical Education of Students" ISSN 2075-5279 (Russion ed. Print), ISSN 2223-2125 (Russion ed. Online).

Categories of ArticlesThe Journal welcomes articles on different aspects of physical education, sports and health of students (higher education institutions) which cover scientific researches in the related fields, such as biomechanics, kinesiology, medicine, psychology, sociology, technologies of sports equipment, research in training, selection, physical efficiency, as well as health preservation and other interdisciplinary perspectives.
The journal publishes articles only with the participation of adult young people - students of higher educational institutions (according to the COPE recommendations, such students do not require parental consent to participate in the experiment). The journal does not publish articles involving children that require parental consent to participate in the experiment. more
Focus and ScopeThe journal’s main goal:
- to aid and facilitate national, international, and interdisciplinary scientific communication, and to strengthen the links between scientific researchers all over the world;
- distributing the information on the latest research and scientific work conducted by scientists and leading specialists in the fields of physical education students (higher education institutions).
The Journal welcomes articles on different aspects of physical education, sports and health of students (higher education institutions) which cover scientific researches in the related fields, such as biomechanics, kinesiology, medicine, psychology, sociology, technologies of sports equipment, research in training, selection, physical efficiency, as well as health preservation and other interdisciplinary perspectives.
The journal represents original scientific researches of scientists from the East-European region. The journal used to cooperate with the scientists from other regions. more

Plagiarism PolicyJournal subscribes to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. All authors must abide by the standards outlined in the journal’s ethical guidelines. In particular, please note the need to avoid duplicate submission, plagiarism and self-plagiarism. If you are unsure what is meant by plagiarism read Best Practice Guidelines on Publishing Ethics. Self-Plagiarism is defined as a type of plagiarism in which the writer republishes a work in its entirety or reuses portions of a previously written text while authoring a new work. The key component of this malpractice is that the new paper makes no reference to the previous publication. Manuscripts are checked for evidence of plagiarism. In case of evidence of using plagiarism in the manuscript it will be rejected and no further submissions will be accepted.
All articles submitted to the JOURNAL will be checked using the "iThenticate" plagiarism detection software.
A specific process is followed to manage a case of plagiarism. The JOURNAL follows the guidelines contained in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowcharts.

Authorship StatementJournal does not require authors of original (primary) research papers to assign the copyright of their published contributions (see Copyright Notice). Peer Review ProcessAll articles in this journal undergo peer review. To submit a completed manuscript you need to register, log in, go to your account, and upload the manuscript.
Once the paper has been assessed for the scope suitability and formatting compliance by the Chief editor, it undergoes peer review by an expert referee whose research specialization best matches that of the paper. Peer reviewing is “double blind”.

The Chief editor will review the manuscripts to evaluate if it fits into the profile of the journal, and that the basic demands to quality is present.

2.1. If the manuscript passes point 1, the next step is peer review by two independent reviewers who hold a relevant doctoral degree or equivalent and know the actual topic(s) very well.

Article Metrics & Usage StatisticsArticle-level metrics are designed to help authors assess this by providing a better understanding of the reach of an article or published research, and the attention it is receiving online. Journal now provides access to the number of online views of each article, the number of citations to each article, and the Altmetric score of each article.
