Annotation During research the problem of initial selection of children 4-6 years for employments by gymnastics is exposed. The results of anthropometry of children passing an initial selection for employments by a gymnastics and choreography are analyzed. Using the methods of mathematical statistics, comparative description of bodily condition of children of experimental and control groups is conducted. The basic requirements to the level of physical development of children 4 - 6 years are certain, which is needed for an initial selection to employments by a gymnastics and choreography.
