Purpose of this form

This form helps authors evaluate the methodological quality of a manuscript before submission to a scientific journal.

The checklist focuses on key elements of research design, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results. It does not replace peer review, but helps identify methodological weaknesses before submission.

How to use this form

  1. Select the study type that best describes your research design.
  2. Answer each methodological criterion using: Yes, Partially, or No.
  3. Add comments in the Author / Reviewer Notes field if needed.
  4. Click Calculate Score after completing the checklist or updating notes to generate or refresh the methodological evaluation.
  5. Review the automatically generated report, which includes:
    • Methodological readiness score
    • Methodological risk assessment
    • Detected methodological issues
  6. Use the results to improve the manuscript before submitting it to a journal.
